I really need to count my blessings when it comes to Mother and how many times she has fallen. She is not to be up moving around unless there is someone with her. She recently declared the physical therapist said she was not considered a “fall risk” anymore (She fell last evening).

With modern advances in medicine and the baby boomers (adults born between 1946 and 1964) aging, there are more elderly people worldwide than ever before.  With this current aging demographic, more and more people are living longer and often want to live independently. Living independently may not be possible if an elderly person is at risk of falling and/ or injury.
