She is too young to have arthritis. Mandy is only 6 and we just found out she has juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA). In our research to find out more we discovered that 300,000 children under the age of 17 are affected by arthritis. It occurs 2 times as often in girls as it does in boys. Luckily children have a better chance of outgrowing arthritis. I know elderly people who suffer with arthritis and this is scary!

I have arthritis and know what pain I have at my age. I can't imagine a child in pain like this. I hope it improves.

our granddaughter was just diagnosis with JRA. The doctors give her a lot of hope for living a pretty normal life with medication. He says to keep her active as exercise is very good for her joints
